Ep #5 : When to hire a therapist and when to hire a coach?

I’m often asked this question. How do I know if I need a therapist or a coach?

In my 10 years of practice the majority of my professional focus has been on therapy and that therapy has been infused with some of my coaching techniques. This offered my patients and clients a unique and effective blend of skills, tools and experiences from both modalities.

Let’s break down the basics:

Therapy focuses on mental health and emotional healing, particularly from the past. A professional is typically called a psychotherapist, therapist or counselor. The therapist supports the patient in their healing and growth. Life coaching (or coaching) focuses on setting and achieving goals with a focus on the future. It holds the client accountable and responsible for their progress.

Listen in as I explain more about these two modalities!
